I love Centre Time. There is so much great interaction and learning, and the students work so quietly. They prefer to work in partners, but when introducing Centres, I feel it's alot like Daily 5. First, I needed do the "Read to Self" and model what this looks like and sounds like (before, during and after). For my class, this took about 2 months. We began by only using Centres twice a week. After the students became exposed to all the Bins, they were ready to pair up. I used a Peer Coaching Approach when selecting partners for Centre Time. I hope this will reap the best results for skill development and staying focused on the tasks.
I have posted 14 Bins with their contents. Thanks to some brillant TpT Games made by teachers, I was able to provide lots of variety in small packages by preparing Matching Card/ FolderGames for many of the Bins.
